Part of the lottery grant went to the commisioning of a new suite of music. Tim Jackson, the composer of the suite wrote it especially with the instruments and players of RVS in mind, creating seven movements in total, which can be played on their own, or all together.
The suite is based on African life and folk songs, and was created in such a way that all of the musicians of RVS can make some sort of contribution, whatever their musical ability. You can download the final movement of the suite, Liberia, from here
